Overview

Based in many years of experience, kkdf believes that the sustainble development of disadvantaged communities can only be achieved, if children’s best interests are kept at the heart of everything we do and if children themselves actively participate in the process.

Child centered community development is the term we use to describe how we aim to do our development work. It is a right based approach to development; where we support to communities to develop the structures and skills they need to provide safe and healthy environment in which children are able to realise their full potential.

How it all started
  • Dedicated team

After many years in the financial industry, we – MANOJ - ANJU - ASIM – abandoned our careers in order to help the underprivileged in our society.

  • To make better life

Without knowing what to expect, Child’s Dream was brought to life in 2015 with the help of our close friends and family members.

  • Motivation

We realised very soon that we had found a new meaning in life and were able to put all of our newly gained motivation and endless energy into effective help for children in need.

MISSION, VISION, VALUES & APPROACH

MISSION

The mission to improve the quality of education in India and ensure that all children not only attend but also thrive in school is being accomplished by working in collaboration with the government, local communities, parents, teachers, volunteers, and civil society members. Our programmers aim to supplement rather than replace governmental efforts. They are implemented on a large scale to not only reach as many children as possible, but also to create an adoptable demonstration model for state governments. To make people discover their potential for action and change. A happy, healthy and creative child whose rights are protected and honored in a society that is built on respect for dignity, justice and equity for all

VISION

Every child in India grows up healthy and receives an education in order to lead a self-determined life and to become a productive and responsible member of society. To empower marginalised communities in the Mekong Sub-Region to shape their own futures. We achieve this by working with communities to improve healthcare and education for children and provide socioeconomic opportunities for families.

APPROACH

Give a man fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
However, successful development assistance begins, not with giving fish or teaching how to fish, but rather with understanding whether this person wants to fish. We believe that the key to sustainable development is to carefully listen and understand the true needs of the communities. We use a bottom-up approach that puts the needs of the community at the center.
Once we have established a trusting relationship with a community, we often start our assistance by addressing the needs of the children. We then build on the knowledge gained and the goodwill earned to launch additional community development initiatives.
